You are never alone - even today

You are never alone - even today

We are IN this together - the mantra of 2020. Through good and bad, thick and thin, life will… go… on…

And yes, even though we are in fact IN this together, many people are suffering from feeling alone, and the depression, fear, and anxiety of this pandemic has really taken a toll on our mental health.

But hear this! There is help available. You are not alone. Remember that each of us is affected by our WORLD’s current situation. If you screamed outside your door, that you felt isolated, at least 4 people would scream back that they too felt the same. If you walked into a store and yelled loudly that you lost your job, 10 people would respond back that they lost theirs too.

And if you need someone to talk to, there are resources readily available. One such organization was started out of a need to help others, Linked4Life. Their mission is the following: “To link together one pledge, one person, one carabiner at a time, inviting people to speak openly about mental health issues while encouraging listening without judgement, to create safe spaces across the country, connecting with a message of hope to those who need help the most.”

This past weekend, our team helped to support #Linked4Life, an event who’s goal was to win the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest chain of carabiners, each link representing the need to stick together to save lives. And with the help of the community, they succeeded with 13,808!
