A Spring Awakening

A Spring Awakening

Is it just us, or do you find that you feel so much more motivated to get things done when the weather starts turning warm? Yes, we are the type of people that always have a ton on our plates (more than just good food) -- so when the springtime comes, we find ourselves with an extra boost of energy, a “pep in our step” so to speak.

As the sunshine brings more warmth and longer days, we find ourselves feeling even more invigorated and motivated to tackle projects like never before.

To us, spring is the season of creativity. It’s an awakening of the senses and the creative mind, which is just bursting at the seams with ideas.

So how can you embrace the season to invigorate you, boost your mood and broaden your mind?

  1. Take a 30 minute walk. According to studies at the University of Michigan, "Being outside in pleasant weather really offers a way to reset your mindset."

  2. Surround yourself with color. Even though there might be patches of melting snow here and there or perhaps those bulbs haven’t quite blossomed yet… add some color to your walls or put on that yellow jumper you have been waiting to wear. You will be so glad you did.

  3. Brighten your office or your desk with springtime flowers and plants.  Not everyone is able to take a 30 walk during the day, so when you can’t get outside, bring the outside IN.

As temperatures rise, what will you do to invigorate your mind?
