Taking Risks often pays off
Right on the cover of today’s Hartford Courant, an article written by Susan Dunne highlighted restaurants defying the odds and opening during the pandemic.
“Since the state went into lockdown last March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, about 600 restaurants have closed, according to the Connecticut Restaurant Association. On the flip side, dozens of new eateries have opened, their owners staring down one of the most uncertain times in the nation’s history to make their restaurant-owning dreams come true.”
We speak to business owners regularly and it is always interesting to listen to their take on how the pandemic has affected their state of affairs. Some quickly pivoted and are seeing much success - even higher revenue that 2019, while others continue to see multiple roadblocks impeding their chances of survival. And unfortunately, it can be hard to change their mindset on how to incorporate changes to favorably impact revenue.
