How you can help #saveCTrestaurants

How you can help #saveCTrestaurants

Like so many small businesses right now, the hospitality industry is struggling to keep afloat. They account for 10% of the workforce in our state and IN Connecticut alone, more than 600 restaurants have closed their doors since the pandemic started.

Needless to say, restaurants need our help now more than ever.

#saveCTrestaurants is a statewide marketing campaign to help restaurants communicate the impact this pandemic has had on their business. Through this campaign, restaurants will share a photo or a video on their social media showcasing the “real story” of what the industry is facing.

So how can YOU help?

Step 1: CREATE A PHOTO OR VIDEO

Impact Video

What do you miss most? Record a short video about your favorite memory dining out. Share a memory about celebrating a special occasion at one of our favorite restaurants. We want to hear your stories and how much restaurants mean to you. To maximize engagement on social media platforms, we suggest you keep the video to 30 seconds or less.

Impact Photo

Share a photo of yourself at one of your favorite restaurant pre or post Covid, while holding up a sign that makes a statement <ie. #savectrestaurants… “I miss date nights,” “I celebrated my 20th Anniversary here,” “Please support our restaurant families.”> Feel free to use any white piece of paper with black lettering on it.

Step 2: SHARE A RESTAURANTS PHOTO OR VIDEO on YOUR SOCIAL PLATFORMS

● PROPOSED CONTENT:

o Please help us #saveCTrestaurants by sharing this post

o Add in a simple statement that shares your favorite memories and experiences at your local restaurants

  • ●  TAG: the restaurant you just visited along with: @saveCTrestaurants @ctrestaurantassoc @eatinconnecticut @ctbites @ctfoodlovers @govnedlamont @CTDECD, and any of your local elected officials and media
