Shopping Center Draws Millennial Audience with Beer Festival

CHALLENGE:
The Shops at Farmington Valley wanted to host an event to generate additional traffic to The Shops, while targeting a young adult audience that is increasingly prominent in the area - which they haven’t been able to reach with their often more family-oriented events.

SOLUTION:
Partner with a local brewery that has a strong social media following, and an area non-profit that has strong ties to the community, to create The Shops first-ever Barnside Brews - a beer festival for a cause.

 

OUTCOME:
The Barnside Brews Beer Festival was hugely successful with more than 750 tickets sold. Our team successfully secured pre-event and day-of press coverage resulting in two television appearances prior to the event, multiple hits in press coverage, in addition to two local television stations on-site at the event.
