Why You Should Support Small Businesses Now
Do you know how many small businesses there are in the U.S. in 2020?
Over 30 million!
And according to recent reports, 44% of economic activity in the U.S. comes from these small businesses.
With small businesses being the lifeblood of the U.S. economy: creating two-thirds of net new jobs and driving U.S. innovation and competitiveness — now is the time to support them because we need them and they need us.
As small business owners ourselves, we know how much community support means and how it can impact the success of one’s business. We try nearly every day to support our local small businesses, whether it’s a mom-and-pop restaurant, a cute boutique, or a specialty grocery store. After all, it’s these shops and stores who all contribute to making our community great, as well as our economy.
Small businesses need us now more than ever and are doing everything they can to keep you and their staff safe. If you are comfortable, order that meal to-go from your favorite restaurant down the street, or purchase your holiday gifts from specialty stores and local toy shops (many have online boutique stores), and just know that every single purchase you make, whether it’s big or small, will help to keep these small business afloat during these very difficult times.
If we all SHOP SMALL then together we can make a really BIG impact.
